The Zia Memorial Museum is housed in the historic Old Circuit House of Chittagong, a beautiful British colonial-style building constructed in 1913. It was converted into a museum in memory of the late President Ziaur Rahman, who was assassinated here in 1981. The museum preserves his personal belongings and displays photographs and documents related to his life and political career. The building itself is an architectural gem, situated on a hillock with well-maintained gardens.
